Arcano is a leading independent advisory services firm with a presence in Europe and the United States. The firm specializes in three areas: investment banking, asset management, and family office. In investment banking, they provide financial advisory services for companies and financial investors in corporate transactions, such as mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, capital increases or IPOs. In asset management, Arcano provides access to diversified and specialized alternative investment vehicles such as Private Equity (through Europe, U.S., Latin America and Africa based funds) and European corporate debt. Arcano currently has more than €1bn in assets under management. In the area of family office, Arcano advises private clients from an independent and global perspective, targeting family businesses and their owners through a multidisciplinary team composed of experts in fields such as finance, tax, legal and investment. IIP interns will be working with the Asset Management group of Arcano. The selected IIP intern will gain knowledge of how private equity works and will create reports and presentations by conducting research on trends and comparative and statistical analyses and by synthesizing the information. IIP interns with interests in finance and economics are encouraged to apply. One placement has been established for an International Internship Program (IIP) intern.
Fundación Salud por Derecho – Right to Health Foundation
Location: Madrid, Spain
Fundacion Salud por Derecho is a non-profit, independent foundation that uses a proactive approach to propose solutions and influence the design and implementation of public policies as they pertain to the right to public health and health care. The mission of Salud por Derecho is to encourage states to exercise their responsibility with people’s health in impoverished countries; to demand fulfillment of commitments undertaken by political representatives; to generate and promote solutions and influence and participate in the design and implementation of public policies to make them effective and to contribute to citizens’ being informed, involved and committed to making the right to health universal. IIP interns will be involved in the monitoring of the current global health situation through reading reports, writing briefings and translating any key documents and assist in the organization, logistical elements of events and working meetings. IIP candidates with interests in international relations, public health, human rights, politics, and advocacy are encouraged to apply. Spanish fluency in reading and writing as well as Spanish speaking skills would be an asset. Two placements have been established for IIP (International Internship Program) interns.
Location: Malaga, Spain
The Olive Press in Spain is a well established newspaper and website set up and run by a former national newspaper journalist from London. It is ranked as the number one news organization in English in Spain and covers a range of topics, including news, investigations, crime, features, health and sports. IIP intern responsibilities will include a range of writing tasks, interviewing and research for feature and news stories for the paper and will provide IIP interns with an excellent idea of how local/regional newspapers run in Spain. Spanish reading, speaking and writing skills would be an asset, as would reporting or writing experience. Two placements have been established for International Internship Program (IIP) interns.

Santander's Continental Europe area, which includes the Santander Branch Network Spain, incorporates all retail banking, asset management, insurance, and wholesale banking business. Specific intern responsibilities are still being defined. Candidates should have an academic background and/or interest in economics, business administration, law, and other similar studies.
