Summer Study Abroad Funding Application

Dean's Fund for Study Abroad

The Dean's Fund for Study Abroad offers grants ranging from $500 to $1,500 to students on financial aid who enroll in structured programs lasting at least four weeks. Some funds are set aside for freshmen and sophomores to study language intensively abroad or in the U.S. Applicants must describe how the proposed summer study connects to their future academic plans.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. on April 1, 2009. Review of applications begins after the application deadline. Applicants will be informed of the decision regarding their application in mid-April. Note that preference is given to students who have not been funded before (which does not mean that you should not apply more than once).

  • Please review eligibility requirements before submitting your application.
  • Applicants seeing funding from the Canadian Studies Program for French language study in Quebec should use this application.
  • Students who are seeking funding for language study in Asia (Princeton in Beijing, Princeton in Ishikawa, and Korean programs) should not fill out a Dean's Fund for Study Abroad application. The Office of International Programs provides funds directly to the East Asian Studies Program for this purpose. Students should fill out the East Asian Studies Summer Funding Application (due February 1 and available from the East Asian Studies Program).

If you have questions about whether you are eligible, please e-mail sap@princeton.edu
