- You must currently be a fully enrolled Princeton undergraduate student to apply for funding.
- Graduating seniors are not eligible for summer funding.
- To seek funding from the Dean's Fund for Study Abroad (previously the President's Fund), you must be on financial aid and apply to a structured study abroad program that lasts four weeks at a minimum. Grants range from a few hundred dollars to $1,500.
- Students who are seeking funding for language study in Asia (Princeton in Beijing, Princeton in Ishikawa, and Korean programs) should not fill out a Dean's Fund for Study Abroad application. The Office of International Programs provides funds directly to the East Asian Studies Program for this purpose. Students should fill out the East Asian Studies Summer Funding Application (due February 1 and available from the East Asian Studies Program).
- The Dean's Fund/OIP administers the application process for the Russian Studies Program. Students applying for funding from the Russian Studies Program do not need to be on financial aid to qualify. Those students on financial aid may also be considered for funding from the Dean's Fund.
- The Dean's Fund/OIP administers the application process for the Program in Canadian Studies, which will make five awards of $3,000 each and two awards of $2,000 each for study at the University of Laval in Quebec City or McGill University in Montreal. Students applying for funding from the Program in Canadian Studies must have satisfied the foreign language requirement before the summer. Students do not need to be on financial aid.
