What the Princeton Study Abroad Program Offers

  • Carefully selected programs. We approve programs only after consultation with Princeton academic departments.
  • Individual advice. Our staff meets with every student considering going abroad to help him/her select the program that is best both academically and personally.
  • Informational meetings, run each semester, by region, with the participation of returning students.
  • Thorough pre-departure orientation, providing site-specific material for each student.
  • On-site advisers. Princeton continues to develop a system of appointing scholars from universities abroad to supervise the students independent work on specific topics.
  • Ongoing communication with and support from the Office of International Programs.
  • Daily monitoring of State Department advisories of all countries where Princeton students are studying.
