Approved Programs in Australia
The Australian academic year begins in late February/early March and concludes in late November, with a four-week break in June/July, separating the first and second semesters. Students can attend either or both semesters. The Butler University's Institute for Study Abroad provides direct enrollment in all major Australian universities. Most of these universities also accept direct applications; some are affiliated with Princeton. Please note that the application deadlines may vary; below are listed the earliest published deadlines.
University of Queensland (affiliated with Princeton)
Location: Brisbane
Dates: mid-July to mid-November for Semester 2; late February to late June for Semester 1

Other information: Evaluation on file. A special UQ Psychology-Princeton University Study Abroad Intensive Research Program, available in the spring (Semester 1) for psychology majors, includes placement in research labs for junior independent work.
University of Melbourne (affiliated with Princeton)
Location: Melbourne
Dates: mid-July to mid-late November for Semester 2; mid-February to late June for Semester 1
Language of instruction: English
Courses: engineering, humanities, social sciences, natural and physical sciences and interdisciplinary programs.

Application deadlines: November 1 for Semester 1; May 1 for Semester 2/year (Princeton deadlines) Applications for admission and housing are submitted electronically. Courses listed on the online application for admission must be discussed in advance with Dean Kanach.
