Financial aid students who are approved to study abroad in Australia may use Princeton University’s financial aid program to meet their expenses. Students should read the Study Abroad Information sheet and complete both the Study Abroad Financial Aid Form and the Student Study Abroad Budget Information Form (available at http://www.princeton.edu/main/students/aid/).
Both forms should be submitted to the Office of International Programs (OIP), 36 University Place, Suite 350. When completing the Student Study Abroad Budget Information form, students should include budget documents from the program showing tuition, room, board, and estimated personal living costs as well as air fare estimates from a travel site ( e.g. Expedia or Kayak). OIP will review and approve the cost of attendance, which will only include reasonable expenses related to your study abroad program (e.g. coach airfare, required immunizations etc.). Discretionary spending such as entertainment or optional travel will not be covered. OIP will forward the approved budget figures to the Financial Aid Office so that your financial aid can be adjusted based on these expenses. After this reevaluation, you will receive a detailed letter outlining your aid package for the semester as well as information regarding the release of your aid.
