WDS launches a new website for The Papers of Thomas Jefferson

Web Development Services (WDS) has launched a new website for The Papers of Thomas Jefferson. The website launched on April 12 – the day before Jefferson’s birthday. Since its first publication of Volume 1 in 1950, the Papers of Thomas Jefferson has been preparing the definitive scholarly edition of the correspondence and papers written by America's author of the Declaration of Independence and third president. The website can be seen at: http://jeffersonpapers.princeton.edu

WDS worked on rebuilding a new website that allowed for future growth and a consistent editing experience for the Papers of Thomas Jefferson’s editorial staff. The website’s content was moved from hand-built HTML pages to a more modern and manageable content management system (Drupal). The navigation and presentation of the content was improved based on user surveys and feedback. The website was designed and built by Jaspreet Longia and Joanne Tunney of WDS in conjunction with Martha King and Barbara Oberg of The Papers of Thomas Jefferson.
