Single login service enhancement - September 30

The transition of applications to the Central Authentication Service (CAS) was successfully completed and all impacted systems are now available. The original details are appended below.

To improve user convenience and security, the University will be moving applications currently protected by PUaccess to the Central Authentication Service (CAS).  CAS is presently used to protect a majority of our University systems. Consolidating to this single login system improves the user experience when signing onto multiple systems, as well as provides better security through the activation of Duo two-factor authentication. This enhancement will be completed on Saturday, September 30th

What you need to know...

The following systems will now be protected by CAS and Duo two-factor authentication
  • PeopleSoft HR and Student Administrative System; HR Self Service; TigerHub; PeopleSoft Prime Financials; Information Warehouse; Labor Accounting; Prime portal; MarketPlace; Concur; eShip global

Note, the Change My Password application will continue to use PUaccess at this time.

There will be sporadic system outages and inconsistent login experiences from Friday, September 29 at 4 p.m. through Saturday, September 30 at 4 p.m.
Login and logout screens will change
  • Central Authentication Service (CAS) login and logout screens will replace current PUaccess screens
  • New CAS login screens have been enhanced to improve accessibility
When logging in, you will now receive two prompts
  • As usual, you will be prompted to enter your Princeton University netID and password
  • A second prompt will follow to authenticate with a Duo-enrolled device
