New Nobel Linux cluster replaces Hats cluster

Research Computing at Princeton is pleased to announce the availability of a new Linux cluster called Nobel. This new cluster is ideally suited for computational researchers and students.

The new Nobel cluster is designed for access to commercially licensed software provided centrally, for low end computational tasks, and for teaching and coursework.

Nobel is a load balanced cluster comprised of two Dell R610 servers named after Princeton Noble Laureates, Compton and Davisson, and replaces the Hats cluster as well as the servers named Sixtyfour and xviv, which have been decommissioned.
