Princeton Gmail available to ‘Class of 2015’!
Beginning the week of October 1, students in the class of 2015 can join their classmates and move their Princeton email service to Princeton Gmail. Princeton Gmail is part of the new Google Apps at Princeton offering, which also includes Google Calendar and Google Docs apps.
The class of 2015 currently uses Microsoft Exchange for their mail service, which makes their “mail move” a bit different from the classes of 2013 and 2014. For students who choose to move to Princeton Gmail, existing email, calendar and contact information will all be moved to the new system.
OIT will be sending an email to the class of 2015 the last week of September. This email will provide important information and instructions for moving to Princeton Gmail. Project updates are also being posted online to the Student Apps website.
New accounts for the class of 2016 were created upon matriculation into Princeton. The classes of 2013 and 2014 were recently moved to the new service. With the offering of Princeton Gmail to the class of 2015 in October, Princeton Gmail will have been made available to all undergraduate students.
