December 2008 edition of IT's Academic now available online

IT's Academic is a blog for and about Princeton University faculty use of technology for teaching and research.

As the end of the year approaches, it is again time to celebrate accomplishments that have taken place in labs, classrooms, and elsewhere on campus.

Highlights of the December 2008 edition:

  • Read about the work of Professors Lee Silver, Joroen Tromp, Anatoly Spitkowsky, Jamie Rankin, and Sanjeev Arora.
  • Take a virtual tour of the new Peter B. Lewis Library. Check out the library's latest tips and tools for the busy scholar. With Google Earth and Sky, you can explore the heavens and the earth.
  • The Google Book Scanning Project is making it easy to find your research materials in digitized formats. And see how E-books and printed volumes are now co-existing at the Princeton University Library.
