OIT moves to 701 Carnegie Center

OIT is pleased to announce that many OIT departments have completed their move to their new home at 701 Carnegie Center. All planned staff moves completed in November. The new facility enables OIT to consolidate many of its operations at one location, and allows portions of other buildings used by OIT to be repurposed for the University's planned arts and transit neighborhood. The Office of Finance and Treasury will join OIT in the new building.

OIT is now hosting training classes at this new location. The West Line of TigerTransit will provide service to and from 701 Carnegie, with one-stop service every 20 minutes from 701 Carnegie Center to campus at the Dinky Station, with connections to other TigerTransit routes. TigerTransit schedules and TigerTracker (GPS locator) are available online. The shuttle buses will accommodate 33 people; have bike racks and low-rise entry/exits.

Some OIT departments will remain on campus. The OIT Solutions Center will remain on campus in its Frist Campus Center location. OIT's Academic Services department will remain on campus, mostly housed at Lewis Library. This includes the Educational Technologies Center, computational science and engineering support, education and outreach services, the Broadcast Center and the New Media Center. The other OIT offices that will remain on campus are hardware support (171 Broadmead), software support (228 Alexander St.), the Humanities Resource Center (East Pyne), media services (New South), and the data centers at 87 Prospect Avenue and New South.

The People Locator tool can help you locate OIT staff in the new 701 Carnegie Center, as well as in all other office locations. For OIT office and meeting room location details at 701 Carnegie, see 2nd floor and 3rd floor plans.
