Office of Research and Project Administration

A long-time member of Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA), Chiz Walter is Princeton’s point of contact for everything related to grant-purchased and government-owned equipment, and is ORPA’s liaison between Purchasing and academic departments where government property is concerned.   In a technical capacity, with the assistance of Max Siles, she monitors ORPA’s DeSC compliance and orchestrates testing of new software and hardware before distribution to the University community. Chiz is ORPA’s point of contact for the wide variety of Web services needed by University staff to electronically submit grant proposals and receive award notifications. She also works closely with programmers from OIT and the Treasurer’s Office to insure the accuracy and function of the various data feeds from Coeus to Princeton’s PeopleSoft and Info Warehouse systems. In addition, Chiz also compiles, analyzes, and creates institutional reports about sponsored research expenditures, proposals and awards for distribution both internally and externally.
