Tracking Submitted Proposals
Depending on the sponsor, some proposals can be tracked electronically on the sponsor’s webpage or in Coeus. Please visit our Sponsor page for access to links to the sponsor webpages.
Grants.gov
For all Grants.gov proposals, the progress of the proposal through Grants.gov can be tracked directly in Grants.gov or the Coeus Grants.gov window. This tracking process ends when the sponsor has retrieved the proposal from Grants.gov, and no further information regarding review or funding decisions can be obtained from Grants.gov. Tracking of the proposal progress through peer review then shifts to the sponsor website if available.
NIH eRA Commons
After submitting a proposal to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the status of the proposal can be tracked by logging into the eRA Commons. Any submission errors or warnings will be identified and, in advance of the deadline, a changed/corrected proposal may be submitted to address these errors or warnings that would otherwise prevent the proposal from advancing to the review stage. When a funding decision has been made, the reviewers’ comments are viewable only in the PI’s account.
NSF Fastlane
After submitting a proposal to the National Science Foundation (NSF), the PI and Department can check on the status of the proposal as it moves through the peer review process (funded, declined, or withdrawn). When a funding decision has been made, the reviewers’ comments are viewable only in the PI’s account.
