Alumni Engagement

alumni flags

Welcome to the Pace Center’s online gateway for alumni, where you’ll find information about volunteering through Princeton and on your own, working to advance social change, and helping current students and younger alumni take their place as active citizens of the world.

This site is designed to connect you with resources related to civic engagement, a broad term that means taking action to identify and address issues of public concern.

Princeton’s alumni have a long history of supporting civic engagement opportunities for students by sponsoring internships, fellowships, and community service projects. They are also actively involved in service efforts of their own, both within the University community and beyond. In its 2000 restatement of the University’s mission statement, the Wythes Committee cited the importance of "the many contributions to society of its alumni" in Princeton’s bid "to fulfill its informal motto: Princeton in the Nation's Service and in the Service of All Nations."
