
Student Organizations & Direct Service

The Student Volunteers Council and Community House, both part of the Pace Center, are two of the most visible campus organizations coordinating direct-service projects. The Student Volunteers Council (SVC), primarily an undergraduate organization, runs a wide span of weekly projects, from mentoring youth to performing for senior centers. Community House sponsors programs programs designed to improve minority achievement in an effort to decrease the minority achievement gap that separates low-income African-American and Latino children from their white and Asian counterparts in Princeton.
The University's Office of Community and Regional Affairs sponsors a number of community outreach activities and programs that respond to the general public.

Rumi Club for Interfaith Dialogue
Rumi Club is a medium for dialogue among people of different cultures and religions intended to awaken awareness and to eradicate misunderstanding due to lack of information.
Princeton Committee on Palestine
The Princeton Committee on Palestine is dedicated to raising awareness on the Princeton University campus of the concerns of the Palestinians and their rights to: basic human liberties, freedom from occupation, and peace.
AID-Princeton
AID Princeton is the Princeton chapter of the Association of India's Development (AID). In addition to sponsoring events on campus devoted to raising awareness of poverty and oppression in India, AID operates a number of projects in India intended to alleviate those conditions.
Woodrow Wilson School Action Committee
The Woodrow Wilson Action Committee (WWAC) is the graduate student government body of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. WWAC is organized to give students a voice in the governance of the Woodrow Wilson School and a forum to put their learning into practice in the broader community.
Queer Graduate Caucus
The Queer Graduate Caucus is the graduate organization at Princeton University representing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning graduate students and their allies. The Queer Graduate Caucus was founded in 2002 for the purpose of providing a space for queer graduate students to come together in support of a queer-friendly university atmosphere. They sponsor social events, discussion groups, film series, and field trips.
Princeton Graduate Christian Fellowship
Princeton Graduate Christian Fellowship is a fellowship of Christian graduate students and other members of the university community, the purpose of which is to encourage a Christ-centered witnessing community where members "grow in love for God, God's Word, His people, and His work."
Forum for Environmental Sociology
The Forum for Environmental Sociology is an academic reading research-based group which is interested in exploring the intersection between social life and the natural environment. For more information, contact Sara Nephew
The Chinese Culture and China Studies Association The Chinese Culture and China Studies Association offers cultural activities, such as speakers and performers, to portray traditional Chinese culture. In addition, they seek to portray and help give voice to the needs of the people of China that are not being represented by the Chinese government and media. For more information, contact Can Sun
