General Football Parking Guidelines
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!
This fall semester, the Princeton University football team is scheduled to host five home games at Princeton Stadium. (See schedule below.)

2014 Home Football Schedule

Schedule

Impact of Home Football Games on Princeton University Parking Permit Holders
On home football game days, special restrictions are in place in many parking areas near Princeton Stadium. In order to accommodate parking for fans, several parking areas will be closed to faculty and staff parking permit holders.  Signs at each parking entrance will denote whether a football restriction is in place, and these areas will become ”pay-as-you-enter” lots.

Areas impacted include but are not limited to: Lots 4, 5, 14, 21, 25, 26, and Western Way. To view the football parking map click here.

All vehicles parked in the above lots must vacate the restricted area by 9 am on each Saturday game day, or as posted on the day of the game. Any vehicle remaining in the restricted lots after the posted time may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

On game days, University parking permit holders may move their vehicles to alternative parking areas available in Lots 2, 10, North Garage, and West Garage.

Game Day Parking for Fans
Fans attending football games who are not Princeton University parking permit holders may park in the following areas on game day: Lot 21, the Boathouse and FitzRandolph Field. To view the football parking map click here.

General Admission (Cash Only)
Cars: $10.00
RVs and Buses: $30.00 on Paved surfaces only

Accessible Parking
Individuals requiring disabled parking may park in Lots 21 or 25. Valid disabled placards and/or tags are required. Admission is $10.00.

Tailgate Policies

  • Game day parking lots will be open three (3) hours prior to kickoff, Fitzrandolph field will open ONLY after Lot 21 is filled. All parking areas close one hour after the conclusion of each game. Parking spaces are limited and tailgating must be confined to a small area behind each vehicle or registered tailgate site. Traffic aisles and parking spaces cannot be blocked at any time. Spectators wishing to park together must enter lots at the same time. All stadium parking lots will be reserved for those attending the game. Tailgaters who do not attend the game will be asked to leave the stadium parking lots 15 minutes prior to kick-off time.
  • Tents are only allowed on lawn surfaces.
  • No amplified sound is permitted.
  • University regulations and state statutes on alcohol consumption will be strictly enforced. Kegs and items that promote rapid consumption of alcohol are prohibited.
  • For safety purposes, charcoal should be discarded in specially marked barrels located throughout the parking lots.
  • PLEASE place all trash in proper receptacles.

For additional information on tailgating please visit the Athletics page here.

Facilities
A chemical toilet is provided by the FitzRandolph Observatory, FitzRandolph Field and Strubing Field for fans' convenience. Fans may prefer to access the restroom facilities in the Jadwin Gym. Restrooms in Jadwin are equipped with modern facilities including hot and cold running water.

Directions
Recorded driving instructions are available for callers with touchtone phones at (609) 258-2222.

From the NORTH/NEW YORK CITY
Take the New Jersey Turnpike south to Exit 9 (New Brunswick). After the toll booths, take the first right turn onto the ramp for Route 18 north. Soon after you enter Route 18, take the left side of a fork in the road, staying in the right lane. Immediately bear right for an exit to U.S. Route 1 south/Trenton.
Drive south on Route 1 for about 16 miles to the Washington Road exit, which is a traffic circle. Take the first right off the circle (by the gas station) toward Princeton. The campus is located approximately a mile straight ahead. Follow Washington Road to the first traffic light, turn right onto Faculty Road. After passing Jadwin Gym, turn left on FitzRandolph Road, then take the second left turn into Lot 21 and right turn onto FitzRandolph Field.
