Faculty & Staff
Three incentive programs are available to Princeton University employees who use mass transit to commute to campus.

1. Transportation & Parking Services Mass Transit Subsidy Program
Princeton University employees who commute to campus via mass transit are eligible to receive a 50% subsidy* on his or her monthly transit pass. Individuals interested in participating in this program can apply by completing an application form available here.

How it works:
Participants will complete the application form and will also be required to download monthly forms available here. Each month, participants will complete this form, attach their monthly transit receipt(s) and scan or fax them to Crosby Benefits System, Inc. at (617) 928-0001 or servicecenter@crosbybenefits.com. The subsidy will be given in the subsequent paycheck following receipt of your subsidy request. We ask that you send in the subsidy request by the 10th of each month to ensure there is sufficient time to process your request.

Employees with limited computer access may perform these monthly transactions at Transportation & Parking Services located on the A Floor, New South.

*NOTE: The mass transit subsidy is considered taxable income and is subject to federal and state income taxes. The subsidy will appear as additional income in a subsequent paycheck following receipt of your subsidy request.

2. Human Resources’ Parking and Transit Reimbursement Program
This program is administered through Human Resources and enables employees to take pre-tax dollars from their paycheck to pay for their transit or parking pass. More information on this program is available at: www.princeton.edu/hr/ben/parktrans.htm. Monthly forms for this program are available at: www.princeton.edu/hr/ben/transitclmfrm.pdf.

3. Transportation & Parking Services Mass Transit Subsidy Program and Human Resources’ Parking and Transit Reimbursement Program
It is possible for Princeton University employees to enroll in both programs listed above. If you are not currently signed up for HR’s Reimbursement program and would like to, please follow the instructions listed under option #2. After that process is complete, please complete the Mass Transit Subsidy Application Form, available here to ensure we have a record of employees who are receiving a monthly subsidy.

If you are already enrolled with Human Resources’ Transit and Parking Reimbursement program, please continue sending in your monthly forms, with the appropriate transit receipts attached. We ask that you also fill out Transportation & Parking Services Mass Transit Subsidy Application Form, available here to ensure we have a record of who is receiving a subsidy each month.
