Transportation Demand Management (TDM)
Vanpooling
Vanpools operate in a similar manner to carpools, only they carry more individuals than a typical carpool. Vanpooling is particularly suitable for longer commutes (10 miles or more each way). In order for a vanpool to be economically efficient you must have at least five riders. Faculty and staff who participate in this program will no longer receive an annual parking pass. Daily passes are available at the Transportation and Parking office for special circumstances.

What is Zimride Rideshare?
Zimride Rideshare is a free matching service for the Princeton University community. Participation is voluntary. The program provides interested applicants with a match list of other Princeton University community members who live and work near them and want to vanpool. Established vanpools can receive a $50 gas card every three months the vanpool is in operation. Vanpools must be registered to participate.

How do I join?
Princeton University community members can join Zimride Rideshare online.
