VIDEO: "With the Marines at Tarawa"

View the Oscar-winning short documentary film with footage of the ferocious 1943 battle in the South Pacific and the last images of Lt. Alexander Bonnyman Jr. '32, who died in the fighting and was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. The 20-minute film was photographed by Marine combat photographers. An official Marine Corps picture, it was edited by Warner Brothers for the U.S. War Information Office.
