David E. Spiro: The Hidden Hand of US Hegemony: From Petrodollars to Sinodollars
David E. Spiro founded The Strategy Practice LLC, a management consulting firm based in Tucson, AZ that works with financial institutions and private equity firms; and he currently consults to the Training and Doctrine Command of US Army Intelligence. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of International Political Economy at Columbia University (where he was a regular faculty member from 1986 to 1994), and a Visiting Scholar at the International Studies Association. From 1985 to 1994 he was also a Faculty Associate and Visiting Professor at Harvard University, and then until 1999 he taught at the University of Arizona. He has been a Fulbright Scholar, a Ford Foundation Fellow, a Research Scholar at The London School of Economics, and a Guest Researcher at The Brookings Institution. David is the author of The Hidden Hand of American Hegemony: Petrodollar Recycling and International Markets (Ithaca, N.Y.: Cornell University Press, 1999).
