Electric Mobility in Southern Europe

Speaker: Albert Cot. Summary: The importance of electric mobility in the energy agenda is rising in different parts of the world.  Albert Cot, President of Cluster for Energy Efficiency in Catalonia (Spain), lead a discussion on how Southern Europe is positioning itself to be a leader including using wind power to charge electric vehicles.
Biography: Albert Cot is a professional with technical background (MSE in energy technologies) and research skills (completed the PhD in 2003).  Dr. Cot has worked in the last 10 years in Spain focused on the following areas: Renewable energies, Energy efficiency in buildings, Electrical mobility, Gasification technologies, Waste-to-energy plants, Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. Dr.  has been the Head of R&D Department for Energy and Systems at COMSA EMTE since April 2010. Comsa Emte is one of the ten top infrastructure companies in Spain and nowadays he is the President of the Cluster Eficiència Energètica de Catalunya (CEEC) which includes more than 60 companies (Endesa, Gas Natural, Schneider Electric, Siemens, etc.) involved in the development of new energy efficiency solutions.
