Biophysics
As part of a continuing effort to strengthen research and teaching at the interface of physics and biology, Princeton University will make one or more appointments of theorists who have recently completed their PhDs. Postdoctoral Research Associates will join a highly interactive group, with interests ranging from the dynamics of single molecules to neural computation, and from biochemical and genetic networks to collective behavior in populations; several senior theorists are available as mentors, and there are opportunities for collaboration with experimentalists on this full range of problems. Postdocs are hired for one year with the expectation of reappointment pending satisfactory performance, typically for a total of three years. Exceptional candidates who are ready to lead research programs will be considered for appointment as Associate Research Scholars, providing more independence and the opportunity, subject to approval by the Dean of the Faculty, to teach in interdisciplinary programs offered jointly with the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics and the Princeton Neuroscience Institute.
