Postdoctoral Research Simons Observatory - Cosmic microwave background
The department of Physics invites applicants for a postdoctoral or more senior position in cosmic microwave background (CMB) research with the Simons Observatory. The Simons Observatory is a multi-institutional collaboration that combines the ACT and POLARBEAR/Simons Array teams, undertaking both cutting-edge CMB science and technical development for the next-generation CMB-S4 experiment. Successful candidates will be involved in the design, construction and execution of the Simons Observatory, and/or take leading roles in the data analysis and preparation of the results for publication.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy before the start date of the position. They should have at least one year of relevant research experience as a graduate student or as a postdoc. Applicants should have demonstrated ability to work as a part of a collaborative team as well as to work independently.
Appointments are for one year, with possibility for renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
