Postdoctoral Research Associate Experimental Condensed Matter
The condensed matter spectroscopy group at Princeton University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to work on synchrotron based angle-resolved-photoemission (ARPES) and Advanced high-resolution microscopy studies of thin-films of topological insulators, correlated materials and high Tc superconductors. The successful candidate will carry out experiments both at Princeton University and several national laboratories and will be expected to play a significant role in carrying out integrated spectroscopy and microscopy measurements and data analysis on a variety of systems.
Experience in synchrotron or laser-based ARPES, beamline optics, detector hardware, MBE-ARPES, MBE-STM, AFM or other surface techniques is highly desirable. Some exposure to first-principle electronic and spin calculations or other forms of electronic structure calculations is also highly desired. The successful candidate will have a strong research record and must have a Ph.D. prior to the start of the appointment. Appointments are for one year with the possibility of reappointment for up to three years pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
