High Energy Theory Seminar - Barton Zwiebach, MIT - Double Field Theory: Geometry and Applications
Abstract:
Double field theory is an approach to make T-duality
manifest in low energy Lagrangians by doubling the
number of spacetime dimensions. It features an
intriguing generalization of Riemannian
geometry and may help understand some aspects
of string theory effective actions and compactification.
