Facilities
Majors are assigned mailboxes located on the A-level of Jadwin Hall.
There is a "student shop" which offers a (non-credit) course in the use of machine tools. Students with an experimental bent are encouraged to take this course and are then able to actively participate in the construction of experimental apparatus.
There is a course in electronics (PHY 210, previously taught as PHY 557), open to undergraduates, which prepares students to design and build the sophisticated electronics required in modern experiments.
McDonnell Hall is a modern educational facility where many of the undergraduate physics lecture rooms and laboratories are located including two lecture halls equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia facilities.
