A comprehensive fee of $5,000 includes tuition, room, "Chinese table" meals, textbooks, and audio materials. It also includes all lectures and extra-curricular activities as well as three daylong trips and two evening cultural activities on weekends. All other costs, such as all meals outside the "Chinese tables," are paid for by students. Students normally will need $800-1,000 for living expenses. (This estimation does not include other forms of shopping expenditure though.)

Transportation to and from Beijing is arranged and paid for by students. Students are responsible for arriving in Beijing on Friday, June 25, in time for placement and orientation which will begin early on the following day.
