Performing Irishness: Performance and Theater in Modern and Contemporary Ireland
Galway, Ireland, June 11 - July 25
Program Fee: $2,950 (includes all housing; required course excursions, including theatrical performances; and related academic expenses). Additional instructional costs (books and materials, required immunizations) will vary, but students should budget up to $350 for these expenses. Roundtrip airfare is estimated at $1,250, meals at $1,260, and personal expenses at $750. International students may be required to purchase visas for entry into Ireland.
Financial aid will be available from PIIRS. Additional support may also be available from the Office of International Programs (OIP) (http://www.princeton.edu/oip/home/funding/pufunds/); see in particular the Dean’s Fund for Summer Study Abroad. Please consult directly with the OIP for other funding possibilities and pay close attention to application deadlines.
For students who need additional funding, Princeton Subsidized Student Loans are available from the Office of Financial Aid and are highly recommended over charging costs to a credit card. Please consult Financing for Students and Parents 2010–11 , specifically pages 1–2 and Table 3, and contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.
To ensure a place in the seminar, a $500 nonrefundable deposit will be charged to participants’ accounts on April 1; the balance of the course fee will be charged to accounts on May 15.
Generous endowments from Princeton alumni as well as funds from the Lewis Center for the Arts and from PIIRS underwrite 61% of the actual cost of the Global Seminar in Galway.
