Travel Information
When planning  flights, students should be sure to consult the University Travel Portal, particularly “International Consolidators” under “Flights” on the main menu for low fares on major airlines.
Information on ground transportation to and from the Dublin Airport (DUB), will be provided by the seminar administrator, Susan Bindig.
Before departing, students must register online via the University Travel Database. Details on this process will be provided by the seminar administrator. The site also provides other valuable information on international travel and on university resources that will make the trip easier.
Passports and Visas
A passport, valid for 6 months after departure from Galway, is required. To apply for or renew a passport, please consult:
Students may also apply for a passport through the post office in Palmer Square.
A visa is not required for U.S. citizens to enter Ireland. Information regarding visas for non-U.S. citizens will be available from the seminar administrator.
McCosh Health Center will contact each student directly about required and suggested immunizations. A mandatory predeparture meeting with a health representative from McCosh will be held in April or May.
Housing and Meals
Students will stay at Corrib Village on the NUI Galway campus. Please see the websites below for general information on accommodations.
***Please note that students need to provide their own sheets and towels.
The apartments have fully equipped kitchens, which allow students to prepare their own meals. There are also a variety of restaurants on campus and in town.
