Mitchell Duneier, a professor of sociology at Princeton University, specializes in urban sociology.  His books include Slim’s Table, Sidewalk, and Ghetto: The Birth of a Place, the Spread of an Idea (with Alice Goffman, forthcoming). In 2009 he received the President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching at Princeton University.
