Since Ovid and up to our own days, literature and exile are intertwined in all cultures and at all times, as if condemned to a fatal intimacy. Today, the conflict between the written word and those in power is more visible than ever before. In response to this several projects promoting solidarity are being developed. Casa Refugio Citlaltépetl, in Mexico has been committed to this task for more than ten years, positioning itself as one of the firmest and finest solidarity projects in the country. Ollé-Laprune has been the Executive Director of the non-profit organization Casa Refugio Citlaltépetl A.C. since 1998.
