Specialization: Political theory and philosophy; history of political thought, especially the early modern period (Hobbes, Spinoza)
Before coming to Princeton, I studied philosophy in Australia. In my Honours and Masters research under Paul Patton, I compared Rawlsian political constructivism with accounts of normativity from contemporary French philosophy. My current research focusses on early modern conceptions of political power.
