Katherine Elizabeth Baisley

Elizabeth Baisley is a PhD candidate in Princeton's Department of Politics. Currently her research explores variation in domestic actors' use of international human rights institutions. More broadly she's interested in human rights, the politics of marginalization, gender and politics, and the creation and diffusion of international norms. Her work can be found in Human Rights Quarterly, the Journal of Human Rights, Race and Class, and the Canadian Journal of African Studies.
Before arriving in Princeton, Elizabeth received a Master of Arts in Political Studies (Gender and Politics) from Queen's University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and Human Diversity from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also studied at the International Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies and the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation.
