Between June 1, 1997 and May 31, 1998, Orange Key guides led 1,286 tours that included 28,762 visitors, according to administrator Joyce Shaffer. Last summer saw almost 12,000 people gathered outside Maclean House to take a tour -- fortunately, not all at the same time.
Most of those who tour the campus are prospective students and their families: of last summer's 11,986 visitors, 6,859 were prospective students. Figures for this summer have not yet been tallied.
Tours leave the Orange Key Guide Service office in Maclean House at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 609/258-3603, or visit www.princeton.edu/~okkey/
