Kennan Centennial Conference and Crystal Tiger Award presentation WHO: U.S. Secretary of State Colin L. Powell, opening speaker and award recipient, to discuss new security environment WHEN: Lecture begins at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, but ticket holders not seated by 9:15 a.m. will not be permitted entry WHERE: Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall, Princeton University Seats are limited and pool coverage will be provided for broadcast and still photographers. Reporters will not be permitted to participate in the Q&A session that is scheduled for conference attendees and students only. Reporters must call in advance, no later than noon, Wednesday, Feb. 18, to request tickets. To reserve tickets, call Elizabeth Patten at (609) 258-3601 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Tickets will be awarded on a first-respond, first-served basis. Media will be assigned to Richardson Auditorium, where tickets are required, or a simulcast location. To pick up tickets for the Richardson assignment, media members must bring valid credentials by 9 a.m. on the day of the event. Tickets not picked up by 9 a.m. may be reassigned. Tickets can be picked up starting at 8 a.m. the day of the lecture in front of Alexander Hall. Press must be in the auditorium and seated in the reserved press section by 9:15 a.m. No admittance will be allowed in the auditorium after 9:15 a.m. There will be no exceptions. No backpacks are allowed in the auditorium. All equipment and bags will be searched. Reporters also will be permitted to attend a private student simulcast viewing in Frist Campus Center, Room 302.
