Operating Budget

1995–96 $530,812,000

1996-97 (projected) 525,441,000

The total operating budget for 1995-96 includes projections of approximately $62 million for sponsored research at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. This amount is significantly lower in recent years because of reductions in Federal Government support for the national fusion energy program, but it still represents 11 percent of the overall University budget.
