Fall Term, 2008
September 6, Saturday. Freshman Sign-In, Dillon Gym, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
September 7, Sunday. Opening Exercises, 3 p.m., University Chapel.
September 8, Monday, 7 a.m. Online academic year registration (verification of personal information) for all students at SCORE website: www.princeton.edu/SCORE. Registration must be completed by 5 p.m., Wednesday, September 10.
September 11, Thursday. Classes begin at 8 a.m.
September 24, Wednesday. Last day to drop fall-term courses without a fee.
September 24, Wednesday. Last day to add fall-term courses.
October 10–12, Friday–Sunday. Freshman Parents Weekend.
October 17, Friday. Last day to change grading option.
October 20–24, Monday–Friday. Midterm tests. (Not every midterm test is set in this week. Students should consult course instructors for exceptions.)
October 25, Saturday. Fall recess begins.
November 2, Sunday. Last day of fall recess.
November 3, Monday. Classes resume.
November 20, Thursday. Last day to drop courses or rescind P/D/F option.
November 26, Wednesday. Thanksgiving recess begins at the conclusion of classes.
November 30, Sunday. Last day of Thanksgiving recess.
December 11, Thursday. Final date for sophomores to select courses for the spring term.
December 12, Friday. Final date for freshmen to select courses for the spring term.
December 12, Friday. Winter recess begins after the last class.
January 4, Sunday. Last day of winter recess.
January 5, Monday. First day of reading period.
January 13, Tuesday. Last day of reading period. University deadline for submission of all written work (except for final or take-home exams).
