"Black Cat" by Min Chen is part of the exhibit "Flora and Fauna in Chinese Painting" on display at the Art Museum through July 30.

New lecture series
   
Franklin Chang-Diaz, US astronaut and space shuttle veteran, will inaugurate the Plasma Science and Technology Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series with a talk on "Plasma Rockets for the Next Generation." Sponsored by the Plasma Physics Lab and the School and Engineering and Applied Science, the talk will be held at 7:30 pm on May 8 in the Large Auditorium of the Computer Science Building.
