Name: Connie Hensley

Position: Parking manager, Department of Public Safety. Providing students, faculty, staff, visitors and contractors with permits to park in the University's 3,500-plus spaces and processing violations and appeals through the system.

Quote: "Each day is a challenge and each day is different. My goal is to treat everybody fairly, regardless of their status."

Other interests: Spending time with her four grandchildren, volunteering with the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary and collecting Longaberger baskets.

Lin A. Ferrand, former associate professor of civil engineering at the City University of New York, has been named associate dean of the faculty at Princeton.

Until recently, Ferrand served as associate director of CUNY's Center for Water Resources and Environmental Research. She has been a visiting research collaborator, lecturer and postdoctoral research associate in the Water Resources Program at Princeton, where she also earned her doctoral and master's degrees.

At Princeton, Ferrand's responsibilities will focus on the administration of the professional research, technical and library staffs.

The Bulletin is published weekly during the academic year, except during University breaks and exam weeks, by the Office of Communications, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ 08544. Permission is given to adapt, reprint or excerpt material from the Bulletin for use in other media.


Deadline. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for the Bulletin that covers Sept. 25-Oct. 1 is Friday, Sept. 15. A complete publication schedule is available at deadlines.


Subscriptions. The Bulletin is distributed free to faculty, staff and students. Others may subscribe to the Bulletin for $24 for the academic year (half price for current Princeton parents and people over 65).
