By the numbers

James Heckman, who received the Nobel Prize in economics this year, joins quite a list of Princeton faculty members and graduates who have won the award.

Since 1919, when U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, a Princeton graduate and former president of the University, won the Nobel Peace Prize, 31 Princetonians have been so honored.

Those who have been presented with a Nobel Prize in the last decade are:
