By the numbers
James Heckman, who received the Nobel Prize in economics
this year, joins quite a list of Princeton faculty members
and graduates who have won the award.
Since 1919, when U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, a
Princeton graduate and former president of the University,
won the Nobel Peace Prize, 31 Princetonians have been so
honored.
Those who have been presented with a Nobel Prize in the
last decade are:

Deadline. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the
Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for
the Bulletin that covers Nov. 6-12 is Friday, Oct. 27. A complete

Subscriptions. The Bulletin is distributed free to faculty,
staff and students. Others may subscribe to the Bulletin for $24 for
the academic year (half price for current Princeton parents and
