Graduate School's 100th anniversary
gala dinner dance

More than 1,700 students, faculty, staff and alumni turned out to celebrate the Graduate School's 100th anniversary at a gala dinner dance Dec. 15 in Jadwin Gymnasium. "It was a great mix of people," said MaryMargaret Halsey, director of graduate alumni relations and development. "It really demonstrated the closeness between the students and faculty. That's what graduate education at Princeton is all about."

At left, Sandy Sussman, left, assistant to Halsey, greeted Todd Mitty, a 1993 Graduate School alumnus and president of the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni, and Jung Min Lee, a 1994 Graduate School alumna. At right, James Wei, right, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, made sure everybody noticed that Robert Goldston, director of the Plasma Physics Lab, was showing his tiger loyalty. Goldston, a 1977 Graduate School alumnus, wore a tail under his tuxedo.
