Clothing drive nets 2,000 items for Hire
Attire
Faculty and staff members donated more than 2,000 items
during a drive last month to benefit the Hire Attire
Boutique, an organization that collects "gently used"
business clothes for men and women entering or re-entering
the workforce after completing a New Jersey job training
program. "Princeton University has been a wonderful friend
to Hire Attire," said Angela Racz, instructor/coordinator
for Hire Attire, which is part of the New Brunswick Public
Schools Adult Learning Center.
"For two years now, the University has facilitated one of
the largest and most successful clothing drives we've had. I
know the clothes will be well used by men and women who
really need the help getting back on their feet and into the
workforce. Thank you for being so generous!"
From left, Racz loaded up the van with the assistance of
Marjorie Young, director of Community House, and Blanche
Scioli, administrative assistant in community and state
affairs. The drive was coordinated by the offices of the
associate provost and community and state affairs.
