Name: Sue Dupré

Position: Health physicist and radiation safety officer in Environmental Health and Safety. Managing the University's radiation safety programs for users of radioactive materials and radiation producing machines. Overseeing radioactive waste disposal, monitoring radiation levels and providing training for the 60 principal investigators who use radioactive material, X-ray machines and electron microscopes.

Quote: "I like the immense variety of the people I work with and the projects I get involved in. There are many strange and unusual situations -- it's never boring."

Other interests: Participating in traditional American and English music and dance. Teaching the history of English dance and calling contra and square dances. Spending time with her 17-year-old twin sons. Serving on the executive board of the Radiation Safety Officer Section of the Health Physics Society.

Effective Jan. 1: In the Office of the Dean of Religious Life, chapel building administrator David Chewning, after 21 years.

Effective Feb. 1: In the plasma physics lab, principal research physicist Norton Bretz, after 29 years; and in the mason shop, mason Robert Guinn, after 14 years.

Effective March 1: In human resources, data management support staff member Delores Barnes, after 23 years; in electrical engineering, academic department manager Carol Desmond, after 25 years; in administrative services, graphic technician Charles Hamill, after 31 years; and in public safety, patrol officer Joseph Ingram, after 17 years.

Deadline. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for the Bulletin that covers March 12-25 is Friday, Mar. 2. A complete publication schedule is available at deadlines or by calling (609) 258-3601.


Subscriptions. The Bulletin is distributed free to faculty, staff and students. Others may subscribe to the Bulletin for $24 for the academic year (half price for current Princeton parents and people over 65).
