Faculty members submit resignations

Princeton NJ -- The resignations of the following faculty members have been reported to the Board of Trustees:

Effective Aug. 15, 2001:

Michael Orchard, associate professor of electrical engineering, to accept a position at Rice University.

Effective Sept. 1, 2001:

Robert Ho, associate professor of molecular biology, to accept a position at the University of Chicago; Wilhelm Schlag, assistant professor of mathematics, to accept a position at the California Institute of Technology; and Emmanuel Ullmo, assistant professor of mathematics, to accept a position at Orsay University in France.

Effective Feb. 1, 2002:

Georgios Deodatis, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, to accept a position at Columbia University; and Anthony Evans, the Gordon Wu Professor of Engineering, to accept a position at the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Effective July 1, 2002:

Mary Henninger-Voss, assistant professor of history; and Lucia Melgar, assistant professor of Spanish and Portuguese languages and cultures.
