Largest stained glass project in the United States

Princeton NJ -- The largest stained glass project in the United States in the last quarter century recently was completed at the University Chapel. Twenty-seven windows in the building were removed, cleaned and releaded over the course of nearly two years. It was the first full restoration since the windows were installed when the chapel was built in 1925. Workers also repointed and repaired the chapel's stonework and masonry. For more photos of the chapel windows, visit <www.princeton.edu/pr/home/02/0208_chapel/images/>.

Chapel re-opening

The re-opening of the Mander/Skinner Organ in the University Chapel will be celebrated during a program at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. David Messineo, principal University organist, will perform the music of Cochereau, Duruflé, Karg-Elert and Wagner. Admission is $10, or free for students. The organ was closed for nearly two years while the stained glass windows were restored and the stonework and masonry repaired.
