Krystyna Podraza
 

Name: Krystyna Podraza.

Position: Bibliographic specialist in Firestone Library. Handling all aspects of acquisitions and monographic receipts, including those in different languages.

Quote: "Working here is a learning experience all the time. It's very stimulating, and it helps me keep up with my field."

Other interests: A native of Poland, where she was an assistant professor of Slavic linguistics, Podraza came to the United States in 1975 knowing very little English. She began working in the library with Russian language materials. Since 1977, she has taught Polish at Mercer County Community College and this year is also teaching two Princeton students. She travels to Poland every year, reads a lot to keep up with her field and audits Slavic languages and literatures courses at Princeton.


Staff obituary

Ole Lillestolen, former maintenance supervisor in Jadwin Hall, died Feb. 13 in an automobile accident on campus. He was 80.

Lillestolen began working in the maintenance department in 1967 and retired in 1989. He returned to the University as a part-time employee in 1994. At the time of his death, he was assigned to the carpentry shop.

A resident of the Griggstown area, Lillestolen is survived by his wife Ruth and three children.
