Alumni Day 2002
More than 1,300 alumni and parents of current undergraduates came to campus Feb. 23 for a day of lectures, ceremonies and other events.
The annual Alumni Day and Parents' Program, coordinated by the Alumni Council, began with lectures by George Rathmann (above right), biotech pioneer, 1951 Graduate School alumnus and this year's Madison Medalist, and by David Remnick (above left), editor of The New Yorker, 1981 alumnus and this year's Woodrow Wilson Award winner.
Following the annual Alumni Association luncheon and a service of remembrance, there was a panel discussion on "Talking With Children in a Post-Sept. 11 World" that included (from left) alumni Berry Brazelton Jr. and Frederick Borsch and Vice President for Campus Life Janet Dickerson.
