HR provides benefits information
The Office of Human Resources has made the following
announcements regarding benefits coverage:
New health ID cards
Members of Aetna U.S. Healthcare's HMOs and post-65
retirees in either the standard or premium plans may receive
a new ID card during the next few months. The cards will
reflect a name change from Aetna U.S. Healthcare to Aetna
Health Inc.
Aetna first will provide new cards to new members and
those members making a change -- for example, adding a
dependent, dropping a dependent or changing an address.
The new ID cards will be produced on plastic (like those
provided currently to HMO members)and will be provided for
the employee and each dependent.
The current ID card will continue to be honored by
providers of Aetna Health Inc. until the new ID cards are
issued. Those with questions should contact the Aetna
customer service department using the telephone number
listed on the back of the current ID card.
Vision care changes
Effective immediately, the University is providing
additional coverage to members of the vision care plan at no
cost to employees.
The co-pay for glass or plastic lenses has been reduced
from $25 to $20, and there is no charge for scratch-proof
coating for lenses. Those with questions about vision
benefits should contact Vision Service Plan at
1-800-622-7444.
