International Fest fetes diversity
Princeton NJ -- The University's International Festival
intended to celebrate diversity, promote understanding and
spread knowledge of the ethnic and cultural differences and
similarities of the Princeton community is planned for
Wednesday, April 24, through Sunday, April
28.
This is the 28th year of the festival, which will be
observed in two parts. Festival I will include daily
cultural exhibitions from different regions of the world and
an international cultural show.
The regional exhibitions will consist of staffed tables
representing different countries on the 100-level of Frist
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each day
has a regional focus: Africa, April 24; Australia,
Europe and the Americas, April 25; and Asia, April
26.
"Global Rhythms," an international cultural show, will be
presented from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28, in the
Frist Multipurpose Room. A reception will follow.
Festival II will take place during during Communiversity
on Saturday, April 27 (see related
story).
The International Festival is a collaborative effort of
the International Consortium, the International Center, the
majority of the ethnic groups on campus, academic
departments and many other University volunteers. For more

Calendar of events
The Bulletin is published weekly during the academic year, except
during University breaks and exam weeks, by the Office of
Communications. Second class postage paid at Princeton. Permission is
given to adapt, reprint or excerpt material from the Bulletin for use
in other media.
Subscriptions. The Bulletin is distributed free to faculty,
staff and students. Others may subscribe to the Bulletin for $14 for
the spring term (half price for current Princeton parents and people
over 65). Send a check to Office of Communications, Stanhope Hall,
Princeton University, Princeton, NJ 08544.
Deadline. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the
Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for
the Bulletin that covers May 6&endash;19 is Friday, April 26.
